ICER BRAKES receives the 2025 Aftermarket Sustainability Commitment Award

ICER BRAKES has been recognized with the Commitment to Sustainability in the Aftermarket Award for its ICER GOES GREEN project, during the 5th edition of these awards. The presentation took place at the Aftermarket Christmas Luncheon organized by SERNAUTO, ANCERA, CETRAA, CONEPA, and MOTORTEC at IFEMA Madrid. The event brought together more than 200 professionals from the sector.

The ICER GOES GREEN project brings together all of the company’s environmental initiatives, with the aim of reducing the impact of its industrial activity. These include the development of eco-friendly friction material formulations, products that comply with the future Euro 7 standard, the redesign of 100% recycled packaging, circular economy practices, and the expansion of the photovoltaic plant, which allows the company to self-generate 35% of its electricity consumption.

Thanks to these actions, ICER has managed to reduce its CO₂ emissions by 35.7% since 2021 and decrease its waste generated by 27% between 2020 and 2024. In addition, 70% of its electricity consumption comes from renewable sources, reinforcing its commitment to the environment and responsible manufacturing.

“ICER GOES GREEN is an integrated company strategy that brings together initiatives to reduce our environmental impact. This award motivates us to continue moving towards a more sustainable aftermarket,” says Sébastien Pennequin, Commercial Director of ICER BRAKES.

This recognition consolidates ICER’s position as a leading company in sustainable innovation, capable of anticipating regulations such as Euro 7 and offering differentiated solutions for cleaner mobility, under the motto: “Better Brakes for a Better World.”
